A last minute strike from Danny L Rowe grabbed a 2-2 draw - and with it a much needed point - for Stockport against Braintree Town on Saturday.
The Hatters have claimed just one win in their last 13 games and six points in the same period, a run that has seen them rapidly slide towards the relegation zone.
It looked like it would be another day of disappointment for Jim Gannon's men when Braintree went two-up with less than 30 minutes to play.
The first half of the clash at Amlin Stadium was a relatively even encounter with neither team creating too many clear-cut chances.
The game burst to life just before the hour mark, with Aswad Thomas opening the scoring. A quick throw from Ben Wright created space on the left for Thomas who fired in a low drive that beat Ian Ormson in the County goal.
With the deadlock broken, the Iron then added a second, with Nicky Symons firing home after Sam Sheridan was dispossessed on the edge of his penalty area.
The visitors would not go quietly though, and Joe Connor grabbed a goal back in the 67th minute when he headed home a Sean McConville corner.
With time running out, substitute Danny L Rowe tried his luck from distance, unleashing from 30 yards. In pouring ran and with a strong wind swirling around the ground, Rowe's strike did just enough to beat Nathan McDonald and seal the draw.
Braintree bookings: None.
