John Schofield
Cambridge United assistant manager Paul Carden says having John Schofield at the club has been a huge boost.
The former Lincoln City manager is on trial for the first-team coaching role and has impressed in his brief time at the club.
Carden told This is Cambridge: "It's been beneficial because it's allowed me to have a bit more freedom in terms of actually taking part in training, as opposed to being the voice and organising it.
"It's also allowed the gaffer to take a step back and enable him to have a look at things from a bit of a distance. Before if you've been in the middle of a coaching session and trying to get your points across, some things might get missed.
"I know John through a number of people anyway and the gaffer knows him from coaching badges, so it's not as if we're three complete strangers.
"I think he has impressed the gaffer - he has certainly impressed me with his whole approach to it all and you can see why lot of people have good things to say about him."
