Stevenage boss Graham Westley
Stevenage Borough stayed within touching distance of league leaders Oxford United thanks to a 2-0 victory over Chester on Tuesday night.
While the victory for Boro is seen as a massive boost, the defeat for Chester is their fourth in a row and will have knocked the player's confidence.
Chester had a great chance to open the scoring in the first period, but James Owen's well-struck free-kick rebounded off the crossbar, much to the disappointment of the travelling fans.
The Blues were punished for that miss as Nigeria-born hitman Yemi Odubade opened the scoring for the home side shortly before half time with a classy effort which Blues goalkeeper John Danby had no chance of saving.
Mark Roberts sealed the victory for Stevenage in the second period after latching on to a Andy Drury corner.
The win keeps Boro within five points of Oxford United at the top, while the Blues remain bottom with negative-four points.
