Jon Ashton
Stevenage got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Kidderminster in the Blue Square Premier on Saturday.
Jon Ashton headed his side in to the lead after 37 minutes with Mitchell Cole giving his side an unassailable lead just after half time.
It took time for both sides to settle but the hosts always looked like winning the tie after going ahead. Ashton back-headed home from Ronnie Henry's free-kick, that was disputed by the visitors.
But it was the visitors who almost took the lead in the second minute as Damian Spencer narrowly missed when given time and space on the edge of the box. David McDermott came even closer to finding the target only managed to hit the crossbar with his effort.
Boro finally got into the game midway through the first half when Charlie Griffin headed Andy Drury's free-kick on to the post and then took the lead when Ashton got his head to Ronnie Henry's free-kick.
The hosts nearly had two at the end of the first half as Griffin reached Drury's cross from the right but only managed to head into the arms of goalkeeper Dean Coleman from close range.
It took Stevenage less than a minute after the restart to double their lead as Bridges sent Cole through on goal with the winger making no mistake, beating Coleman in the Kidderminster goal.
Chris Day denied Kiddy a route back into the game with a good save from Daniel Andrew's corner while substitute Aaron Farrell was denied under pressure as he sent his shot wide of goal.
