Richard Brodie
York City played out to their fourth successive draw following their goalless stalemate against Altrincham at Moss Lane on Saturday.
The Minstermen's failure to convert their opportunities means they have now gone seven games on the trot without a victory.
The visitors enjoyed most of the play, but top scorer Richard Brodie missed several chances to close out the game.
Brodie had a great opportunity to give Martin Foyle's charges the advantage five minutes before the break when he sent a header over the bar after finding himself unmarked in the area.
It seemed as if it just wasn't going to by York's night when they Jamie Clarke missed from right in front after Michael Rankine had squared the ball to him in the box.
With five minutes to play Rankine unleashed a goal-bound shot, but he was denied by a fine save from Stuart Coburn as he tipped the ball over the bar.
The Robins held on for the point as York suffer another disappointing result in their bid to make the play-offs.
Altrincham bookings: None
