Kettering Town will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways when Eastbourne Borough make the trip to Rockingham Road on Saturday afternoon.
Over a month has passed since the Poppies last recorded a league victory, a run of form that has ultimately cost them a place in the play-offs.
Tough-tackling midfielder Jordan Hadfield is expected the rest of the season after suffering a dislocated elbow in a training this week.
Striker Kwesi Appiah has been recalled from his loan spell by Peterborough United, leaving Kettering boss Lee Harper short on numbers.
Harper is hoping his side can end their campaign on a high note, telling Northants ET: "The players have worked hard in training even though they aren't sure what is going to happening during the summer or next season.
"They will be professional and try to end it positively.
"We are going to be a bit light on numbers but that's something we have got used to.
"We will deal with that and see if we can give the fans something to shout about."
Eastbourne will be looking to open a bigger gap on the dreaded drop zone after an upturn in their recent results.
The Sports have recorded four straight victories to lift themsleves out of the relegation places and another win would do their cause a whole world of good.
However, their task will be made tougher after it emerged that midfielder Paul Armstrong will miss out with a leg injury.
Striker Andy Atkin is also expected to miss out after picking up an injury in the 3-1 win over York City.
Either Joe Benjamin or Liam Enver-Marum will deputise in Atkins' absence.
