Poppies clinch Ashikodi return

Blue Square Bet Premier side Kettering Town have signed striker Moses Ashikodi from Blue Square Bet South newcomers Ebbsfleet United.

The 22-year-old parted ways with the Poppies in January and went on to sign for Liam Daish's Ebbsfleet, where he scored an impressive 11 goals in 14 first-team appearances.

Ashikodi told the Northants Evening Telegraph: "I'm delighted to be coming back.

"I hope I can re-visit the goal scoring form I was in last year at the club

"I've been at plenty of clubs in my short career and this long term deal is a positive step for both me and the club."

Kettering boss Lee Harper added: "His flair and goalscoring record are major attractions for the fans and the club.

"We were looking for an out and out goalscorer and Moses brings us that."
