Kettering keen for one more striker

Kettering Town manager Lee Harper is looking to add one more striker to his squad before the start of the new Blue Square Bet Premier season.

Harper wants to get a new signing on board in time for the start of pre-season training and matches, according to northantset.co.uk.

"We are back next week and at the moment it's a case of sorting out all the little bits and pieces to ensure it all goes smoothly," said Harper.

"We have pretty much finalised our fixtures for pre-season and now we will be getting our plans together for the five or six weeks we have before the real thing starts.

"It's an exciting time and it will all feel that bit closer when the fixtures come out. I am happy with the players we have brought in so far.

"But I would hope to have a least one more striker in soon. We know who we want and he will complement the other three if we can get him."
