Tim Deasy
Blue Square Bet Premier side Barrow AFC have revealed that goalkeeper Tim Deasy has returned to Holker Street on a trial basis.
The 24-year-old parted ways with the Bluebirds at the end of last season after turning down a new contract offer.
However, Deasy has been unable to find a new club and has returned to Holker Street with a view to earning a permanent deal.
Barrow joint-manager Dave Bayliss told North West Evening Mail: "Tim has been back training with us this week and will play 45 minutes against Oldham.
"It was his choice to leave us originally. We offered him a contract and he turned it down.
"Tim, however, rang both myself and Shez (fellow joint-manager Darren Sheridan) earlier this week.
"Fair play, it takes a lot to ring someone up and admit you were wrong, but that's what he did. He's come back on trial.
"He's admitted he made a mistake by leaving the club in the first place, so he'll start on level pegging again.
"Tim is decent, as good as anyone you'll get in this league. It's now a case of having a look at him and seeing how the land lies."
