Ciaran Donnelly
Barrow manager Dave Bayliss has reached a deal to sign midfielder Ciaran Donnelly following a successful trial spell at Holker Street.
The ex-England under-19 man, now 26, scored two goals during the Bluebirds' pre-season preparations and Bayliss believes he will keep improving this season.
"Ciaran has done well for us and will be another good addition," Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria. "He is getting better and stronger with every game."
Donnelly started out as a trainee at Blackburn before representing Blackpool, Southport, Macclesfield, Fleetwood Town and Glenavon.
Bayliss is also having a look at former Bradford and Luton defender Lewis Emmanuel, goalkeeper Lloyd Rigby and midfielder Alsseny Cissoko as he looks to strengthen his ranks further.
A new goalkeeper will be a top priority as the club have still not replaced the departed Stuart Tomlinson and Tim Deasy.
Bayliss added: "We want two keepers in for the start of the season and we know who our number one goalkeeper will be.
"We do want our squad assembled to give us two weeks of work ahead of the new season."
