Scott Rendell
Cambridge United left it late to secure a 2-0 victory over Lewes at the Dripping Pan on Saturday afternoon.
In what was an evenly contested match, the visitors showed the greater desire towards the end of the 90 minutes and were rewarded with the three points.
Scott Rendell opened the scoring for the U's in the 81st minute from the penalty spot after Lewes' Anthony Barness brought down Chris Holroyd in the box.
The penalty seemed to deflate the home side who had worked so hard to stay in the match.
However, it only got worse for the hosts when Robbie Willmott made it 2-0 on 86 minutes and in the process sealed a valuable three-point haul.
