Lewes boss Steve Ibbitson gave credit to Dorchester after drawing with the Blue Square South club 1-1 on Tuesday evening.
Lewes took the lead but couldn't hold on as they conceded a quick equaliser.
They remain in the relegation zone and while three points would have made all the difference, Ibbitson was quick to suggest that his side didn't deserve the three points.
Ibbitson said: "Having gone 1-0 up we would have liked to have taken the three points.
"That would have set us up nicely for Saturday but they deserved their point.
"We didn't play well after going ahead. We stopped playing and I am a little disappointed with the performance."
