Weymouth 3-0 Northwich

Weymouth inched closer to the top half of the table when they convincingly beat Northwich 3-0 at Wessex Stadium on Saturday.

Three goals in the first half hour was enough to give the Terras the points and deny Steve King his first win since taking over the reins at Victoria Stadium.

The writing was on the wall as early as the third minute for the Vics after they went a goal down when Jay Conroy gave away a penalty for a foul on Ryan Williams.

Stuart Beavon continued his fine goal scoring form when he slotted home the penalty for his 12th goal of the season.

It would take only another seven minutes for the inform-hitman to double his side's advantage when he fired the ball into the back of the net from close range.

The game was wrapped up for the Terras on the half-hour mark when Lee Phillips placed the into the bottom left corner of the goal to make it 3-0.

The loss will come as another big blow to Steve King and his men as they remain rooted to the bottom of the Blue Square Premier table.

Weymouth bookings: Sandwith (75).

Northwich bookings: Conroy (4), Robinson (32).

Ref: K Johnson.

Att: 1105.
