Stuart Beavon
Weymouth claimed a surprise 2-0 victory away at promotion-chasing Torquay on Tuesday night.
The home side created nearly double the chances to that of the visitors, but it was the Terras' superior finishing which sealed a valuable three points.
Weymouth opened the scoring on the brink of half time when Ryan Williams latched onto an inviting pass from Stuart Beavon.
The Gulls continued to put pressure on the Terras' goal in the second half, but their finishing let them down on numerous ocassions.
The away side made sure of the victory with two minutes left on the clock.
Beavon turned from provider to goalscorer when he found the back of the net from a James Coutts pass.
The victory eases any lingering fears which Weymouth had about relegation, while the Gulls remain on the fringes of the play-off places.
