Barrow joint-manager Darren Sheridan
Relegation-threatened Barrow earned themselves some breathing room on Sunday afternoon with a comfortable win against fellow strugglers Weymouth at the Wessex Stadium.
The Bluebirds consigned Weymouth to their ninth straight defeat, while recording their first win on their travels since October last year.
Barrow looked more likely to make something happen but the half ended goalless with neither of the teams able to fashion the all-important opening goal.
The Terras started well after the interval and started making inroads into the Barrow half before the visitors claimed the lead in the 51st minute.
Mark Boyd ran onto a lay-off by Lee Steele and unleashed a powerful drive from the edge of the area which flew into the bottom-left corner.
Weymouth were still reeling from the opening goal when Barrow struck again just three minutes later.
Skipper Paul Jones latched onto Mark Boyd's cross in the box and tapped home from inside the six-yard box to the bottom-right corner to make it 2-0.
The hosts were then handed a way back into the game in the 68th minute when Lee McEvilly was shown a second yellow card and headed back down the tunnel.
However, it didn't help the Terras' cause as Barrow further extended their lead with ten minutes left on the clock.
Boyd provided another great cross from the right by-line and Paul Jones got on the end of it with a well-placed header into the back of the net.
