Exiles swoop for winger Osei
Blue Square South club Newport County have clinched the signature of left-winger Leon Osei following his release by league rivals Dorchester Town.
The Ghana-born attacker is described as a tall, powerful and skilful player who can operate either on the left-hand side of the field, or just behind the strikers.
Osei joined Dorchester on a short-term deal in July 2008 after impressing during the pre-season and counts QPR, Stevenage, Leyton and Wingate & Finchley amongst his former clubs.
He made 12 first-team appearances for the Magpies this term, scoring two goals in the process.
Newport boss Dean Holdsworth told the South Wales Argus: "He scored against us twice this season and when I heard Dorchester had released him, I decided to give him a chance."
