Priory Lane

Eastbourne Borough v Darlington

Eastbourne Borough will be looking to make home ground advantage count when they entertain Darlington at Priory Lane on Saturday afternoon.

The Sports have picked up seven points from six matches so far, while The Quakers have accumulated nine points from the same amount of games.

Borough goalkeeper Rikki Banks will be looking to silence his critics this weekend after copping some abuse from home fans in recent weeks.

He told The Eastbourne Herald: "I don't think I'm doing as badly as everyone thinks I'm doing. At the weekend, when I caught the ball there was sarcastic cheering, it was stupid. I just think it's unfair criticism aimed at myself.

"You shouldn't really hear that six games into the season. You've just got to not let it affect you.

"I want to prove them wrong, I think it's pathetic, especially when you're away from home. If it was one of the younger lads they might crumble. I want to prove that I'm worthy of the shirt."

The home side should be able to call upon Richard Pacquette and Matt Crabb for the clash, but Simon Johnson is rated as a doubt after only just returning to the training pitch.

Darlo are expecting Liam Hatch, Chris Senior and Kevin Austin to be fit for the trip, but Ian Miller and Tommy Wright will require late fitness tests.
