Liam Watson
Southport boss Liam Watson is confident that his side can return to winning ways when they host Eastbourne at Haig Avenue on Saturday.
The Sandgrounders are currently third from bottom of the Blue Square Bet Premier standings, but Watson feels that it is only a matter of time before they move away from the drop zone.
He told the Southport Visiter: "I thought we played really well on Tuesday but we're just not getting then rub of the green at the minute.
"We may have lost the last two games without scoring but the performances have been really positive."
In team news, Southport goalkeeper Tony McMilan has been suffering with a virus with Steve Dickinson is expected to continue in goal.
Matty McGinn returns to the squad having served a mid-week one match suspension.
Forward Matty McNeil has been under treatment for a tight hamstring and remains a doubt having missed the York match while Chris Lever suffered a nasty eye wound early in the York match and will need to be patched up having had five stitches.
Eastbourne have been dealt a blow ahead of the tie with the news that hitman Luke Rooney has returned to Gillingham.
Boro boss Gary Wilson has a few injury concerns though with Gary Elphick still struggling with a calf strain, while Ross Treleaven and Andy Atkin are both hamstrung.
