Maidenhead have signed Bulgarian midfielder Ivaylo Dimitrov from Bulgarian B Division West club Vihren Sandanski.
21-year-old Dimitrov began his career in England playing for Brentford for three years in their youth set up.
After a short spell at Hendon he returned to his native Bulgaria where he played professionally for Sandanski who were relegated from the Bulgarian A Division (equivalent to the Premiership) in the summer, but wants to try his hand at climbing the ladder in the English game again.
Meanwhile, the York Road pitch has been declared fit for tomorrow night's FA Trophy tie against Barrow.
The game has been postponed twice but following sterling work by the York Road groundstaff the surface is ready to play and there will be no formal pitch inspection unless the forecast dry weather changes.
