Bittner receives glowing praise

Salisbury City manager Tommy Widdrington believes that new Forest Green rovers signing James Bittner is the best goalkeeper in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

The Whites boss was resigned to losing to his top players following the club's double demotion from the Blue Square Premier last season.

And Widdrington thinks the Rovers have the top custodian in the division with the recent acquisition of 28-year-old Bittner.

"As far as I'm concerned, James is the best goalkeeper in the Blue Square Premier and he wants to stay at that level, Widdrington told This is Gloucestershire.

"I can understand that and have to respect his decision."
